Sex and Trading
Well… now that I’ve got your attention! Nothing seems to capture our interest as much as the mention of sex.
Let’s have a look at how individuals from each gender are likely to trade and the challenges they are probably going to face at some stage during their trading career.
Based on statistical research of over 35,000 households, women make more cautious and conservative traders, yet lack confidence in their own abilities and worry that trading may be a male domain. Men tend to over-trade and display over-confidence, and treat the sharemarket as an opponent that they need to conquer. Become aware of your own behaviour and you’re more likely to beat your own biology and become a super-trader!

Charting for Beginners

So you want to learn how to use share charts to improve your trading results? It may be simpler than you think. The aim is to use price and volume action to identify a sustainable uptrend.
In many ways, shares behave in a similar way to children. Some are obstreperous and incredibly difficult to look after. Others are placid and calm, never causing a moment of grief. If you can get to know the child, then looking after them suddenly becomes much simpler. Likewise, if you begin to understand the characteristics of a particular share, you will learn how to treat it. The particular idiosyncrasies unique to that share will suddenly seem within the realms of normal behaviour. Technical analysis provides us with tools to assist in this goal.

Ferocious Profits
The sharemarket seems to be in the process of punching out a base. It’s too early to tell whether the market has bottomed, but once a clear direction is determined, are you ready to get a piece of the action?
Some of the largest gains in the markets have been directly after bear markets, so let’s dream a bold dream and plan to amass a fortune. Enough doom and gloom. To perform at your peak, you need consider how you’ll handle it when your trading system produces spectacular results.

Our active clients are having a field day at the moment generating cash flow from their share investments. For example we recommended BHP on 25th February 2009 at $29.69 and to write a March $31 call option. When it was exercised the return could have been 6.6% net of all costs for the month – that’s $1,959 in cash from an investment of just $29,690! And that’s not the only strategy producing this type of result…
